The curtain falls on Kaneki’s journey. From a lonely student to a legend who changed the world, his story is complete. But in the world of ghouls and humans, every ending is just another beginning. Every ending being another beginning feels exactly right for this story.
Life tries to return to normal, but nothing feels the same. Kaneki throws himself into his work and training, determined to become strong enough to protect everyone. A quiet dread hangs over Anteiku, as if a storm is gathering. Kaneki’s decision to get stronger feels earned after everything he has survived.
Ayato reveals that he serves Aogiri Tree, a growing army of ghouls with terrifying ambitions. His cruelty shocks even Kaneki. Touka is torn between the brother she remembers and the monster standing in front of her. Learning about Aogiri Tree raises the stakes for everyone involved.
In the aftermath, the CCG claims victory, but it feels hollow. Too many good investigators died. Amon is gone, changed forever. The war is far from over, and everyone knows the next round will be worse. Victory feels hollow for the CCG, and this chapter does not shy away from that.
Inside Cochlea, nightmares walk free. Kaneki fights through the madness, trying to reach Eto before the situation spirals beyond control. Every corridor is a battleground. Fighting through the prison’s madness tests Kaneki in new ways.
Kaneki’s rampage leaves the restaurant in ruins and Tsukiyama broken. When the fury fades, Kaneki is horrified by what he has done. The others take him home, but the memory of his own savagery will not leave him alone. The aftermath of the battle hits harder than the fight itself.
Tatara and the Aogiri executives push their war forward, striking at both the CCG and rival ghouls. Anteiku finds itself caught between two fires. Yoshimura watches the chaos with the heavy eyes of someone who has seen this all before. Tatara’s brutality reminds you that Aogiri is not to be underestimated.
